Once you have a time length, this will determine how many photos can be used. Each picture will normally show for approximately 7 seconds, this can certainly be altered if required.
Example: The bride has alloted 10 minutes during the reception for a presentation.
Most people who request slideshows prefer a chronological sequence, however, this is completely up to you. If you are mailing or dropping off your photos, use sticky notes or some method to clearly identify the sequence.
If you sending your photos electronically (by email or by using our free website photo & music upload service) please label your photos by starting the photo name with a number.
Example: You have photos: Ellen-6-months.jpg, Ellen-9-months.jpg, Ellen-10-months.jpg
Rename them to 1_Ellen-6-months.jpg, 2_Ellen-9-months.jpg, 3_Ellen-10-months.jpg
This clearly tells our staff the sequence of your photos and avoids any confusion during production.
This is extermely important and will invoke the right emotions from your audience and make a very memorable slideshow. Choose music that means something to you or the person you are creating the slideshow for.
Try to find photos that are of good quality, and avoid using damaged or blurred photos if possible. The better the quality, the better the slideshow.
Examples: Billy's first homerun, Jean's 1st Communion, etc...
Depending on the theme of your slideshow, this may be a great addition.
Adding short video clips (1 - 2 minutes) to your slideshow can help break up the slideshow and 10 – 30 second video clips can enhance any slideshow. These clips can be placed at key areas in your slideshow.
