Why we need PAL to NTSC conversions
Well, if you have video tapes from places outside North America you will likely require this conversion. NTSC is a TV standard used in North America while PAL is the standard used in Australia, Europe, South America, and other regions around the world. If you have a PAL tape or DVD (PAL-M, PAL-N), you will not be able to view it by using your standard North American VCR because the frames per second & lines of resolution required for viewing are fundamentally different.
